A Few Things to Extend the Life of Your Kanata Tires
Think your Kanata tires will only last a certain amount of time and/or kilometers no matter what you do? Think again. With proper care, tires can last a lot longer than you may think, often up to ten years. Here’s a few tips to get more life from your Kanata tires:
- Keep your tires out of the sun… of course this can’t be done when you are driving (unless you move to Seattle). When you are not driving, put your car in a garage or shelter when possible as UV rays shortens the lifespan of your tires.
- Take the time to inspect your Kanata tires and rims every month. Look out for cracks in the sidewall along with continually monitoring your tread depth. Taking the time can give you the proactive ability to rotate and/or repair your tires.
- Look to make sure you have the appropriate amount of tread depth. Here in Kanata and Stittsville, you need more tread depth and maybe even snow tires.
- As much as possible keep your tires away from sunlight and in an environment with a stable temperature as much as possible.
