Getting the Most from Your Kanata/Stittsville Tires
Until someone invents the 200,000 mile tire, you’re going to need to take care of your Stittsville/ Kanata tires. We talked about rotating your tires last month – it is a pain but most tire dealers (including us) will include rotation as part of your new Kanata/Stittsville tire package. So make an appointment, have a seat, and surf the Web or Facebook while we help extend the life of your tires.
A few other things you should make sure of to take care of your Stittsville/Kanata tires include maintaining the right air pressure. You can get a gauge… or just eyeball your tires. Even better, many newer tires have a check tire pressure light. This light does not mean the manufacturer wanted to further decorate your dash… it means check your tire pressure. Too much air or not enough can cause uneven wear in your Stittsville/ Kanata tires. I would say have your tires checked every time you get your oil changed… but we both know that isn’t enough. Take your car into a Stittsville/ Kanata garage on a quarterly basis to get everything checked – oil, tires, etc.
Finally, if your Stittsville/ Kanata tires are not balanced correctly you will find the wear on them to be both exponentially faster and painful on your wallet. One sign of this is if your steering wheel seems to wobble or vibrate. If either is happening, come in today to get it fixed before you have to come in for new Stittsville/ Kanata tires.
If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact us. We can help you better understand your tires, including the steps you can take to make them last as long as possible.
